Introducing our sponsorship packet
This project is entirely dependent on community funding, and we are searching for sponsors! To thank our business supporters, we are offering the following types of recognition:
- Acknowledgement as a supporter on our website with your logo and website link
- Acknowledgement on social media with a dedicated post and story on Instagram
- Recognition on a physical sign installed at the mural site. This sign, visible on S 5th St., will describe the story of the mural and give special thanks to the supporters that made this possible!
Check out the details in our sponsor packet here, and reach out to us to become a Mural Maker sponsor!
We now have a fiscal sponsor!
The East Nashville Silo Mural Project is a fiscally sponsored project of the Arts & Business Council of Greater Nashville, a nonprofit organization. Contributions on behalf of the East Nashville Silo Mural Project should be made payable to the Arts & Business Council of Greater Nashville, and are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.
The funds raised from the chuffed.org fundraiser will still be used for this project, but all future donations must now go through the Arts & Business Council.
We are about 35% of the way to our fundraising goal. We are grateful for your generous support so far. Please continue to spread the word and sign up for email updates!
The vandalism is (mostly) covered, but the mural project continues
First, a huge THANK YOU to everyone for your support thus far. We are all so grateful for your generosity and enthusiasm in this community-led project. We have a few updates to share.
- Local businesses are joining in on the effort! Charlie Irwin Painting generously offered to cover the vandalism with a base coat before the deadline imposed by Metro Codes. We love to see local businesses stepping up!
- A mystery artist got us started. Before we could start the cover-up, an anonymous hero unrelated to this project paid a surprise visit to the silo to cover the vandalism with their own creation. We are grateful to the rappelling wizard for their work and their humor. Attached is a photo for everyone to enjoy.
- The mural project is still happening! The hateful messaging is covered now, but our end goal goes beyond that. We still want to pay artists to build on what’s already started and give this silo a full mural that is shaped and supported by the neighborhood. We’re extending the fundraiser deadline and asking everyone to keep sharing and spreading the word. We hope to transform this silo into an iconic landmark that is seen by neighbors and commuters every day.
Every donation and every share helps!
If you are a local business that would like to join this effort, please reach out to eastnashsilomural@proton.me.
